Personal care

We understand that when it comes to personal care needs it is a very sensitive and private matter, our care staff are trained to be discreet in this area and to ensure they treat the service user with dignity and respect.

We offer full support with personal care needs ranging from prompting to completing the task on behalf of those that are no longer able, even this small act can make a huge difference to a person’s quality of life.

– bathing, showering and washing

– dressing/undressing

Domestic care

Clean home, clear mind!

We understand that it may be difficult for an individual to keep up with housekeeping. Our Carers will be happy to support you with general domestic tasks such as hoovering, dusting or laundering.

If you feel you may require more support with cleaning tasks, give us a call!

we can book a slot (Minimum of one hour), where our staff will focus on domestic tasks as per requirements once or twice per week.

We can assist you with:

– Washing the dishes

– Disinfecting surfaces

– Hoovering

– Laundering

– Dusting

– Pet care

Please note: Carers cannot clean windows or ovens.

Hospital / GP visits

We can support you to attend any medical appointments, whether it is dental, hospital or GP appointments. We can arrange a Carer to accompany you, to ensure you get from A to B safely or to offer emotional support.

Services we provide:

– Getting to and from Hospital / GP appointments

– Dental or eye examinations appointments

– Moral support/guidance

Please note that if you should require a taxi service you will be expected to arrange this yourself as drivers are not always available. Please book appointments as far in advance as possible.

Overnight care

Over night care consists of either a sleep in or a waking night.
A waking night is when a member of staff stays awake to support you throughout the night, whether that is supporting with toileting or reassurance.
A sleep-in night is when a member of staff will sleep in the property, for this service you must be able to provide a private bedroom, with clean bedding, you must allow the carer access to a toilet, washing facilities and allow use of the kitchen/appliances. To qualify for a sleep in the member of staff will not be expected to wake more then twice throughout the care call. Please note if carers are woken more then twice, this will be classified as a waking night.

Meal preparation

Nutrition plays a vital role in an individual’s overall health and wellbeing. We offer assistance in meal preparation and encourage you to be involved in planning your food choices as well as preparation and cooking if it is safe to do so.

Food shopping is also an important part of being independent, but sometimes it may become too difficult without a little extra support. Our care staff are insured which allows them to escort you to the shops or if you would prefer, carers can do the shopping on your behalf.

Social care (access to the community) and day trips

We understand how important is maintaining friendships and relationships between people. Everyone can benefit from taking part in activities as they have a positive impact on our mental health and wellbeing. That’s why we encourage our service users to carry on pursuing activities.

We can provide social activity support which will be tailored to your needs and circumstances. Whether it is some recreational activity, social meeting,a visit to the Day Centre or a shopping trip we are always happy to help.

We can assist you with:

– Accessing the community

– Visits to Day Centres or Libraries

– Going to the cinemas, theatres or restaurants

– Visiting your friends

– Shopping

– Day trips

Live-in care and 24 – hour care

Live-in care is a specialised service where you would have a fully trained carer living within your own home. Having a live- in Carer may allow you to stay in the environment you feel most comfortable and love the most.

We will support with:

– Personal care

– Shopping and trips out

– Household chores

– Supporting your dietary needs and preferences

–  Help with mobility around the home

– Companionship and emotional support

– Daily activities and accessing local community

– Medication administration or prompting

– Attending hospital, GP or, dental appointments

– Help with household bills and general admin

Support with medication

We know that at times medication can be challenging, That’s why we are here to support whether it be a simple reminder or you require someone trustworthy to manage all aspects of your medication, we are here to help!

Services we offer:

– Safe storage of medication

– Medication administration and organisation

– Prompting/ reminding to take medication

– Applying ointments and creams

– We can liaise with GP’s and pharmacists

Sitting service

The sitting service is for service users that require some form of companionship but are unable to access the community, it is also used as a form of respite for carers.

We offer:

– Companionship and emotional support

– Conversation

– Mental stimulation

– Support with the organisation of paperwork and appointments

Respite for families

We understand that at times carers supporting family members need a break in order to recharge their batteries. We offer respite services for family members so they can take some well-needed rest time.

Our carers are well trained, so you can be assured that your loved one is well looked after during your absence. We will liaise with you and any other people involved in their care, such as medical professionals to understand your loved one’s situation, needs and wishes whilst ensuring that the level of care they receive is second to none.

End of life/palliative care

We know that this is an emotional time, which is why we ensure we provide carers that are specifically trained in end of life/palliative care, we can also recommend outside agencies that are there to support/counsel family members directly affected, as we feel that our care and support should not stop at the service user, but also extend to the family.
